Fear and Apprehension

19 Oct

Tonight’s Faber Academy is the first where we are going to be scrutinising each others’ work.  We have all to look a couple of opening paragraphs from everyone else’s work and then look at 3 opening novel sections.  I volunteered to have mine critiqued.  I thought it would be good to get in first for two reasons: firstly, it would be really good to get some feedback as need to know that I am producing believable voices; and secondly, I didn’t want the fear of criticism to hold me back.  Hopefully people will be kind, with a ‘do unto others’ mindset.

Good luck Colette – hopefully they love what you have written.
