New Year – Good News

2 Jan

After 8 days of no water we came home yesterday to the sound of gushing – thankfully just from the taps and not a burst.  I’ve never felt so grateful for water in my life – it’s been a total drag having to pass buckets across from the neighbours house.

Now the New Year brings not just water and children who have recovered from the flu but also 2 bits of publishing good news.  One of my stories has been accepted for Pushing out the Boat, and a piece of flash fiction is now on The Pygmy Giant at http://thepygmygiant.com/  Things are definitely looking up for the new year.

Haven’t been able to do any work this holiday – in fact I’ve hardly even had time to read, but I’ve slept a lot and got my kids healthy again (she types to the sound of coughing, so healthish).  One more party tomorrow, then back to school and writing on Wed.

I make nice frocks and write average poetry. And there's a bit of embroidery and the occasional rant.
