2010 Achievements

5 Jan

As I’m not always great at recognising the good things that happen I started to keep a record of my achievements in 2009 and continued last year.  I’ve just updated it and about to start a new page for 2011.  Basically I’ve written “Completed the following short stories” and put down the numbers 1-5, last year I got up to 9 which I’m pleased with.  I also wrote “Published in” again 1-5 and again I filled in the blanks.  I also added shortlists/longlists and there were a few things there.  So all in all it was a good year with hopefully a better one ahead.

What needs to be improved on this year is “Novel Completed” and “Money Earned” but if writing is to be a long distance race then I’ve got to be prepared that things will take time.  I have got a couple of maybes which, if they turn in to yeses would be exciting, so I’ll just need to keep going in the right direction and keep everything crossed.
