Mondays can be like this.

21 Feb

Spent the morning checking through emails, reading my Faber Academy notices on Facebook – finding out I’ve got even more homework today.  Then I read through the 2 submissions from other writers for Tues, and realised how busy a week it’s going to be.  Jackie Kay & more submissions for Sat, and I’ll need to submit some of my own stuff on Fri for next Tues.

Got “The Adoption Papers” by Jackie Kay in the post this morning, already about half way through and loving it.  I’ve already read “Red Dust Road” which is an autobiographical account of the adoption told in these poems.

Off for some coffee with a friend, need to let real life in every now and again.  Although have a busy week ahead – of real life/kids things and of Faber Acedemy work.  Hopefully lots of writing time too.

I make nice frocks and write average poetry. And there's a bit of embroidery and the occasional rant.
