Moving On

11 Mar

The Faber group is almost finished – only 4 more sessions to go.  I can hardly believe we’re at this point already.  In some ways it has gone by in the flicker of an eye, but I also feel like I’ve known my fellow Gallowytes for years.  On Tuesday I was thinking back to our first few meetings and how unsure we all were of each other, now we’re all clinging together for dear life saying ‘Don’t leave me.’

Not that we do intend to leave each other.  Plans are afoot to carry on meeting, although without Janice it will be very different.  The collective benefits from reading and reviewing each others’ work are enormous though, and something that we would be foolish to let slip away.

We are intending to have a short break over Easter though, so we can all make contact with our loved ones again ( and possibly even with the hoover).  And hopefully catch up with some writing too.

AL Kennedy is our next guest author, and I’m really looking forward to meeting and talking to her, as I really love her work – hopefully I’ll get a chance to read a few of her short stories over the weekend.
