Hooray

14 Mar

Just found out that I’ve been shortlisted for this comp http://www.homestart-bridgwater.org.uk/ Very happy to have made the last ten out of about 400 entries. Winners will be announced in April, but for now I can be happy. Especially excited as Rose Tremain is judging and I’m a big fan of her work.

Have also spent the last week redrafting my entry for the Mslexia Short Story comp which closes on Monday. http://mslexia.co.uk/whatson/msbusiness/scomp_active.php

Easing back into reading and writing but still mainly tied up with family concerns. Think I should start a new blog on post-viral illness, but it’s bad enough living through it without making folk read about it (unless I decide to turn it into fiction and make it lighter and shorter than it is in reality).

I make nice frocks and write average poetry. And there's a bit of embroidery and the occasional rant.
