Not Immune

15 Jun

Things I’m not immune to:

Disappointment – Sometimes I send out stories I’m still not 100% happy with to big competitions and am not surprised when I hear nothing. Other times I send out my best work ever to small competitions, and have already spent the prize money in my head before I hear the bad news. Today was one of those days. Sad face.

Falling Over – I am not immune to falling over, but thankfully I still maintain a lifetime record of never having broken anything. I have, however, quite badly twisted my foot and can’t drive, walk much or stand for any length of time – not exactly ideal in the hectic days before school ends (especially as I’ve one boy leaving school all together, the other moving to High School, and a daughter about to arrive back from a trip to Berlin).

The Combination of Silly shoes, Prosecco and small stones (chuckies if you’re Scottish) – see above.

However I am immune, or at least not allergic to about 100 things that were placed on my back last week to find out why my eczema is so bad at the moment. Looks like stress is still the number one culprit, which doesn’t easily fit on a patch test.

I make nice frocks and write average poetry. And there's a bit of embroidery and the occasional rant.
